If You Are In Your 30’s, 40’s or 50’s — Read This

Are you in your
- late 30's
- 40's?
- 50's?
Here’s new flash for you buddy.
- NO JOB SECURITY
You are going to lose your job and
You WILL lose your job.
Why?
- Cheaper Labour Force
-Younger Dynamic & High Energetic Generation
- Why get one when you can get two for the price of one? - DECLINING HEALTH
Your health is deteriorating and it WILL deteriorate.
- Trust me creaky joints & bad knees is very real thing - LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURNS
For all the years you worked for others
Is finally going to earn you less per hour and finally
You are going to get outdated & replaced very soon.
And once that happens — you will be
Undervalued,
Underestimated,
Unwanted,
Unneeded & finally considered
Useless.
So what can you do?
Focus on these questions….
QUESTION 1
If you were to lose your job right now:
- Who will employ you?
- What salary would they offer you?
Do me a favor — don’t assume.
Go out there in the market and find out.
QUESTION 2
THE PLAN B?
Thanks to you becoming ‘old’ and ‘outdated’ let’s assume you will never get a job (employment) ever again. What’s Plan B?
And yeah — please don’t give me a crappy, sheepish answer like “Start a business”. If that is your strategy — say goodbye to all your life savings because the chance of a business failing is more than 95% high!
QUESTION 3
PLAN C? PLAN D?
Lets assume Plan B doesn’t work out.
What Plan C?
Plan D?
QUESTION 4
WHEN DID YOU LAST TAKE THE CAR FOR UPGRADE & SERVICE?
Software gets updated once every few weeks.
Hardware gets updated once a year.
Industries & Policies get updated once every few years.
When did you last invest in your education, training & development for an upgrade & service?
Or are you still proud of your outdated MBA you did 25 years ago where you learnt the definition of the term called “management”?
So when did you last take YOU for an upgrade & service?
QUESTION 5
ARE YOU HANGING ON TO THE LAST STRAW OF HOPE…..
This is something I see all around me.
Almost everyone ‘HOPES’ that the bad stuff will happen to someone else,
that ‘someone else’ will get terminated,
that ‘someone else’ will lose their job,
that some other country, company or corporation will face the Axe
And then, at the same time, they also HOPE
the good stuff will always happen to them,
that the ‘lucky winning ticket’ is the one they are holding,
that life will go as per plan.
Yes, hope is a good thing but come on….lets be realistic here.
How many mega lottery ticket jackpots have you won?
How many people know for a fact the date when they will lose their job?
How many people were able to predict they would lose their life savings during the market crash?
And finally…
How many people know the exact date when they will die or meet with an accident?
In boxing they say, the punch you never saw coming is the one that knocks you out. The same principle follows where life is concerned.
QUESTION 6
WHY SO SERIOUS?
A serious Karate enthusiast has a Karate Coach.
A serious gym rat has a Gym Coach.
A serious musician has a Musical Coach.
What about you?
Are you serious?
QUESTION 7
HOW MUCH MONEY?
Why do people cling on to a job they do not like,
work for a boss they do not like and
deal in a professional environment that is suffocating?
Well — its all for the money.
If they money wasn’t there — who would want to work for a 9-to-5 job?
In fact, almost everyone I have spoken to has admitted that if they won a jackpot — almost immediately they would resign from the jobs and go do something else.
So the fact remain — money is the name of the game.
So here is the big question:
How much money per month would keep you happy?
How can you earn that kind of money through other channels?
QUESTION 8
PROACTIVE OR REACTIVE?
What would you prefer more?
To be terminated by your employer when they feel it is the right time?
OR
For you to put in your papers when you feel the time is right?
The former is being reactive the latter is being proactive.
If you know something bad may happen — its best you start taking preventive measures from now itself. That is the reason for me opting for my Bariatric surgery & for me leaving the Middle East before it was way too late
QUESTION 9
GETTING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
When something is nice & fun — no one bothers to change.
But when something becomes painful & uncomfortable — people want to change. And when the shit hits the ceiling — people act with a sense of urgency & importance.
Get out of your comfort-zone and learn to make yourself strong taking uncomfortable risks. It can be anything from learning a new course, investing in yourself or trying something new.
QUESTION 10
THE BOTTOMLINE IS THIS…
You have one life — just one.
And this is all it is.
You can either choose to live it grabbing the bull by its horns
or
you can choose to let life take its course and
hope (yes hope) nothing bad happens to you.
Either way — you must make a decision.
and take personal responsibility.
And by that I mean no matter what happens
- good or bad,
-external or internal,
-by your own doing or by someone else
you take complete and total responsibility and ownership for it.
And if you can do this from right now, then,
whatever it is you are doing is great.
Because if everything good happens — then lucky you.
I’m happy for you.
But if tragedy and problems ram right into you
then you and you alone must face the music.
Remember — one life.
Take total responsibility
And make it worth living
So that when you die — and you will
You can tell yourself
I’ve lived a life with no regrets.
